All work is to be completed in a professional and workmanlike manner in accordance with industry standards. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, please bring it to our immediate attention. As our work involves living things, no guarantees or warranties are expressed or implied in this contract. Our membership in various trade associations keeps us up-to-date with the latest techniques in tree care. Client satisfaction is our foremost goal.
Our workers are covered by workers' compensation. The company is insured for personal injury and property damage. A copy of our insurance policy is available upon request.
Unless previously arranged with our office, our crew will present itself unannounced to perform the work. The company will do its best to meet performance dates, but shall not be held liable for damages due to weather, accidents, or any delays beyond our control.
Cancellation of work not received before the crew's arrival will be subject to our current hourly rate. There is a 20% fee for cancellations made within three business days of an accepted proposal. All deposits are non-refundable.
The client warrants and represents ownership of the property described by this contract, or has the authority to bind the owner to the obligations described herein.
Unless otherwise noted, the contractor will not be responsible for obtaining permits or paying related fees. If required, the contractor will obtain permits and charge for these services in addition to the signed contract (including making the call for service and gas line flagging).
The prices quoted assume access for our equipment wherever possible. If this is unacceptable, we must know prior to pricing and scheduling.
Tree removal will be performed by cutting as close to the ground as possible and cleaning up all debris, unless otherwise stated. Additional charges will apply for unforeseen concrete or metal in the tree.
Mechanical grinding of the visible tree stump will be performed to below ground level. The stump hole will be back-filled with stump chips, and excess chips will be left on-site unless otherwise stated in the proposal or work order.
Logs, brush, leaves, and twigs (in association with the trees that are being removed) are all removed. Excess sawdust not raked up will not be removed. All paved surfaces will be blown off or swept clean.
When large trees or limbs are removed, it is inevitable that a certain amount of yard damage will occur, usually in the form of ruts, indentations, and disruption of sod. The contractor will not be held liable for damage to plants, shrubbery, fences, sidewalks, driveways, etc. There is an additional charge for the repair of such yard damage. The contractor is responsible for reinstalling any fencing.
It is the responsibility of the client to notify the contractor of the presence of any underground structures, including but not limited to energized connectors, septic tanks, septic systems, cable, phone, electric, gas, sanitary water supply, wells, oil tanks, sprinkler systems, etc., and to clearly mark such structures. The contractor will not be held responsible for any damage to unmarked underground structures.
Unless otherwise agreed upon and indicated in this contract, the customer agrees to settle the total amount of the contract upon completion. Payment shall be made to the foreman before the crew departs. Past-due accounts, based on the above-stated policy, and claims for reimbursement are subject to an interest charge of 5% per month, as well as any collection costs, including but not limited to reasonable attorney's fees and court costs.
Logs will be moved to the edge of the property at the street curb if needed for post job pickup. Please allow 1 to 3 business days for logs to be picked up.
